- Jonathon was born and raised in the United States. His parents are immigrants from Communist Russia who suffered persecution for following their faith. Due to his faith in the Lord and being a pastor, Jonathon’s grandfather sat in prison for 7 years. From birth, Jonathon was raised in a Christian family and a Slavic church that taught a works-based salvation.
- After coming to the Lord at age 11, this caused a lot of confusion and misunderstanding of Gods grace and the power of the cross. Through discipleship, many battles and struggles, the Lord has been teaching him about the everlasting love He has for His elect. Jonathon’s heart towards discipleship is rooted in the fact that discipleship played a vital role in teaching and transforming his mind. It helped him understand that we are saved by grace alone, through faith alone in Christ Jesus and that our works are only an outpouring of the new desires that the Lord has planted in us. Jonathon currently resides in Kansas City, MO with his loving wife, Susan, and his 3 children.
